The Challenge
Sofía had built a thoughtful, creative brand, but not a sustainable business. Her work was focused on audiences that resonated with her identity but couldn’t provide consistent or well-paid demand: individual creators, indie filmmakers, and cultural projects.
While she was clear on her values and voice, she struggled to identify who actually needed and could pay for her services. The challenge was to reorient her offer toward a market that matched her expertise in narrative and culture, without diluting her authenticity.
The Solution
We guided Sofía through a two-part consultancy to transform her brand direction into a focused, market-ready identity.
We began by mapping the real dynamics of the translation industry: who hires, who pays, and what differentiators matter. Through that process, Sofía’s positioning evolved from an academically driven, humanities-oriented profile to one rooted in entertainment and pop culture fluency.
Instead of emphasizing literary sensitivity or academic rigor, her new value proposition highlighted her ability to translate with cultural pulse, capturing humor, rhythm, and references that make global content feel native.
Her focus became clear: translation and localization agencies serving entertainment and publishing clients in the U.S. expanding into Latin America.
This shift reframed her from a “highbrow” translator to a culturally intelligent localization specialist, turning her human-driven process into a tangible differentiator in an AI-dominated landscape. From there, we built the brand foundation to support the new focus: a complete marketing and sales roadmap, tone and messaging guide, and visual identity.
Finally, we directed a photo session to visually represent her new positioning, professional yet approachable, boutique but culturally fluent.
The Outcome
By the end of the project, Sofía had turned her creative background into a focused professional brand, ready to scale independently.
She walked away with:
A clear market niche and strategic positioning.
A cohesive visual identity and logo system.
A new photo set aligned with her brand narrative.
Messaging and outreach direction for LinkedIn and her website.
